Like about CrossFit – CrossFit is an open science dedicated to fitness, health and happiness. If it doesn’t make you happier and healthier, it isn’t CrossFit. If there is a more efficient way to get healthier and happier, it’ll become a part of CrossFit. There are no secrets or rules “just because”. Our coaches benefit as much from teaching as our athletes benefit from learning.
Goals – Learn more about creating strength programs. Improve my coaching of basic CF movements.
Favorite WOD – Fight Gone Bad
Favorite CrossFit moment – The 30 minutes after class when you’ve finally caught your breath and can laugh about it with your friends.
Athletic Experience – 2nd degree black belt in Tang Soo Do. Silver medal in sparring at 2008 world championships.
Also skilled in gymnastics, balance, tumbling and break falls. Interested in teaching movement safety and General Physical Preparedness.

I have been CrossFitting since mid 2006. Once I was exposed to the basics of CrossFit I immediately recognized the benefits of this system.
Although I have been involved in several styles of Martial Arts and have a background in Law Enforcement (both training and working with) I have never found a fitness program that better prepares you for the unknown and unknowable. Once I found it, I learned as much as I could about the basic elements of CrossFit. I attended a Level 1 Certification, I earned an Olympic Weightlifting Cert, a CrossFit Level 2 Instructor Certification, as well as learning the basics of nutrition from the Paleobrands Team: Loren Cordain, Robb Wolf, and John Welbourn.
Why might you want to “CrossFit”? Is it for the health benefits? Are you an athlete looking to better your game? Are you looking to fit better in the yellow polka dot bikini? Is it an ego thing…“My workout is harder than your workout!” Are you preparing for combat and recognize CrossFit as the best way to be ready for the unknown? Do you want to be able to keep up with your children as they grow. Or do you simply want to be able to eat what you want, when you want to? Those are just a few of the reasons I can think of.
I believe in providing the beginning student safe and informative instruction while helping the Advanced Athlete improve their game. I learned early on that “The Basics Bring You Home” and in CrossFit the basics make you strong, fit and ready for life’s challenges.
Show up, Suck it UP, Sweat and SMILE ’cause fitness is fun again!!!

Goals: As a coach I want to use CrossFit and General Physical Preparedness to improve people’s quality of living. I want to help grandparents gain the capacity to lift their grand kids off of the ground. I want to get future firefighters in shape for the academy. I want to give kids a strong foundation in fitness and overall health.
